Oracle Open World Singapore 2019

Oracle events do not get any bigger than Oracle Open World a.k.a OOW. After a long absence in Asia, it finally made its appearance at home (Singapore is my home). I personally felt that it was a successful event and one that is badly needed given how much airtime and mindshare our competitors have been getting over the last couple of years with their events and marketing.

Many line-of-businesses pull together in months leading to this with people talking to different groups to see how we can collaborate and work out awesome tracks, hands-on-labs, demos, etc. It is always a good opportunities to energize the employees with a common mission and I am glad that OARDC was part of the whole event contributing to different tracks directly and indirectly.

Some of the work we did prior to OOW-SG contributed to the customers agreeing to be part of the panel, showed up and put a good word of the things Oracle are doing with them.

The work we did on SkillsFuture Sg and Oracle HCM integration was covered in media with our guest of honour - Senior Minister of State Chee Hong Tat visiting the displays including the Proxima City which turned out to be the center piece of the event.

Check out the Proxima City (Singapore) video, work done by my engineer and myself working out the sensors and the dashboards.
